1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Dragbox, operated by Ibrahim Elsherbiny ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using dragbox.io, the Dragbox Mac app, or the Dragbox iPhone app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. The service
Dragbox lets you record your screen, capture screenshots, store files, and share them as links. Every account includes Dragbox Cloud — free hosted storage (currently 1 GB). An optional paid plan, managed on the web at dragbox.io, lets you connect your own storage bucket (S3, R2, B2, or compatible). The Mac and iPhone apps are free companions to the service and contain no purchases.
3. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
- You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country) to use Dragbox.
4. Your content
You own everything you upload. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service: storing your files, generating previews, and serving them to you and to anyone you share a link with. We claim no other rights over your content.
Share links are accessible to anyone who has the link until they expire or you revoke them. Think before you share.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Dragbox to:
- store or share content that is illegal, infringing, or that you don't have the right to share;
- distribute malware or phishing content;
- harass, exploit, or harm others, including minors;
- abuse quotas, rate limits, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Paid plans and downgrades
Paid plans are billed on the web through Gumroad — never inside our apps. If a paid plan lapses, your connected bucket becomes read-only within Dragbox after a short grace period, and after roughly 30 days your account reverts to the free Dragbox Cloud plan. We never delete files from your own bucket — they remain yours, in your bucket, under your control.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings (web, Mac, or iPhone). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law. Section 4's license ends when your content is deleted.
8. Disclaimers
Dragbox is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The free tier carries no uptime guarantee. Keep your own backups of anything important — for bring-your-own-bucket storage, your bucket provider's durability applies, not ours.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
