Cloud files and your own bucket have different storage paths. We explain both, without treating credential encryption as file encryption.
Cloud content is stored by Dragbox’s hosted service. Custom-storage uploads go directly to your bucket; share delivery can use Dragbox’s service to retrieve and display the file.
Your bucket credentials are encrypted on your device before synchronization. Keep your recovery phrase safe. Hosted file contents are not end-to-end encrypted by this vault.
Delete your account to stop access and links immediately. Cloud files are purged after the 30-day recovery period. Your own bucket files are preserved.
No. Dragbox Cloud includes 1 GiB of hosted storage. Verified accounts can upload ordinary files up to 50 MiB each; verification and daily limits also apply. Custom storage is an optional web-managed plan.
Dragbox Cloud stores uploaded files through our hosted storage service. With custom storage, uploads go to your own bucket. Credential-vault encryption protects your storage keys; it does not make hosted files end-to-end encrypted.
No. The current Mac app is a file browser, capture and sharing app. It does not provide Finder folder synchronization or offline file sync.
The current capture flow uploads the original first. Editing a Dragbox Cloud screenshot saves a new copy and link. Do not include sensitive information in a capture expecting a later edit to remove it from the original.
Account access and share links stop immediately. You have 30 days to recover the account through the recovery email. After that, Dragbox-hosted files and associated account data are scheduled for permanent deletion. Files in your own bucket remain yours.
The Mac and iPhone releases are being prepared for submission. Store links will appear when the releases are available. You can use the web app now.
Storage, transfer, object-size and request limits depend on your provider and the operation. Your provider may charge for storage and traffic. Dragbox does not promise unlimited file sizes or transfers.
